TT Kidz.

Introducing TT Kidz! Now find out more at our webinar

Author: Paul Stimpson Publish date: November 29, 2018

TT Kidz has been unveiled as the name for our new youth product launching next year - and clubs have the chance to find out all about it by joining a special webinar next month.

The name and logo were selected following lengthy consultation with young people, parents, schools and our members.

Out of a choice of six names and logos, more than 75% of hundreds of seven-to-11-year-olds and more than 50% of adults preferred TT Kidz.

We are now consulting with teachers and coaches to put together a series of sessions designed to enthuse young players.

The programme will be launched at the National Conference on the weekend of March 30-31, 2019. Pilot projects will test the sessions from April 2019 onwards and we will be inviting clubs across the country to begin to deliver TT Kidz from September 2019.

But before then, you can hear more about the plans and how your club can get involved by signing up to join our webinar between 7.30pm and 9pm on Monday December 10.

During the webinar - an online seminar - you will be able to see and hear about the plans, as well as post questions or comments, which we will be able to answer during the session.

o sign up, please fill in your details at the bottom of the page and we will send you the details of how to join the webinar a few days before.

TT Kidz is our initiative to increase table tennis participation among the 7-11 age range. The central aims are:

To provide young people with an inspiring, engaging and fun first experience in the sport

To enable us to build national partnerships with organisations that can help take the sport to more young people

To provide clubs and coaches with a more attractive programme to take into schools and community groups to enhance a table tennis offer

To engage new young coaches/activators in the sport

League Manager: Discussions ongoing

Author: Paul Stimpson; Publish date: October 19, 2018

Negotiations are continuing to secure ongoing free access for clubs and leagues to the League Manager platform on the Table Tennis 365 website.

Table Tennis England this week announced a partnership with Sport:80 to put in place a new 'back-of-house' membership platform for the 2019/20 season following a robust and independently-scrutinised tender process.

We are aware of some confusion among members and wish to clarify that this partnership is solely for the membership platform, through which individuals' membership of Table Tennis England is processed and managed.

The League Manager platform is not affected by this announcement and is subject to a separate agreement. For the past few seasons, Table Tennis England has paid for the provision of this platform and discussions are ongoing to ensure the continued provision of this popular platform.

Ensuring that the new membership system is compatible with a League Management system was one of the key specifications of the tender process.

We will continue to keep members updated about developments.

Table Tennis England appoints Sport:80 as technology partner

Author: Paul Stimpson: Publish date: October 16, 2018

Table Tennis England has appointed Sport:80 as its technology partner to develop a new online platform which will evolve the way we administer the sport and engage with people participating in table tennis across the country.

The new platform, known as the Table Tennis England Membership Platform, will aim to provide members with all the tools they require to manage their online engagement with the sport, beginning with membership registrations and renewals from the 2019/20 season.

The vision of the partnership is to work towards a single platform whereby members will be able to manage their table tennis profile with ease, enter all TTE sanctioned tournaments online and view up-to-date results and rankings among a host of other features.

Sport:80 were selected as Table Tennis England's new technology partner after a robust tender process which involved detailed independent and in-house assessments.

Sport:80 has a proven track record of delivering systems of this nature for a wide variety of other National Governing Bodies of Sport (NGBs) and sports organisations including Archery GB, British Fencing and British Weightlifting.

TT365, the current provider, will continue to provide the membership system until the end of the 2018/19 season, when its contract is due to end. TT365 was one of several companies to submit a bid under the tender process.

In the coming months we will continue to release updates with regards to the new platform including progress on tournament entry and ranking system which will be trialled during the 2018/19 season.
