Bursary will help more female coaches to qualify
Author: Paul Stimpson; Publish date: April 24, 2019
Women and girls can get help to take steps into a coaching career through the Table Tennis England Female Coaching Bursary, launched today.
The bursary offers 50% off either a Level 1 Session Coach or a Level 2 Lead Coach award and aims to encourage more women and girls into coaching.
In turn, it is hoped that having more licensed female coaches active in the sport will inspire more women and girls into playing.
Applications from all areas of the sport are welcomed and those who are successful will be expected to report back on the impact the bursary has had, with preference given to applications which can demonstrate a sustainable impact in their local table tennis community through growing female participation.

The application process will be open until May 31 and those who secure the bursary will be reimbursed after successful completion of the course, when the coach becomes licensed.
* We would also like more women and girls to reply to our Big Conversation - an online survey which is open to anyone who plays table tennis at any level and which will help us to shape the sport in the coming years. Click here to take the survey.
